:+: SUMMER 2013 FASHION TRENDS :+:

Hello Beautiful!

Even though the seasons are changing, the Fashion Trends are basically the same. The Stripes and Bermuda Short trends are still on trend for Summer, but there are a few new trends that you and I need to try!

1. Graphic Prints

BRING the heat to your outfits this summer in BOLD shapes and color combinations! Graphic prints includes logo tees, abstract shapes, pictures and color blocks. My favorite graphic print design is to mix black and white with a bright color. Try this trend in a dress, bandeu top or midi length skirt.

2. Fringes - HANG LOOSE

Simple details can be EVERYTHING to a shirt, skirt, dress, or shoe! And this summer the desired detail is FRINGE. Fringe adds a casual feel to a finishing detail. Depending on how it is worn fringe can be used to reveal a little skin which is perfect for summer, or conceal a little skin without being hot... which is also perfect for summer. Try this trend on a dress, shoe, or purse!

3. Geisha - Asian Invasion

Oriental style is making a statement this summer season! And honestly, who doesn't want to be a Geisha Doll? I sure do! Wearing an oriental styled piece allows you to create a Geisha themed outfit, and theme outfits are easy to style! Kimono styled tops, pajama bottoms or chinese graphic tees can be dressed up or down! Try this trend in a jacket, dress or pants!

4. Hologram - Shine Bright

The trend to look out for this season is Holographic clothing, but really, you CAN'T MISS IT! Wearing a kaleidoscope of shimmery colors may not be your first choice, but this trend can really set you apart from the crowd if worn right! The best part of this shiny metallic looking trend is that it can easily be paired with white or jeans and that makes it easy to style. Try this trend in a shirt, clutch or shoes!

5. Denim on Denim - Double Up!

Denim never really goes out of style, so the Fashion world has to keep finding ways to reinvent it. In the recent years we've seen distressed denim, then acid wash denim was a hit last year! But this year's summer denim trend is to wear denim on denim. Double, triple, quadruple it up! And the fun part is you can mix a acid washed or ombre bleached denim top with a solid denim pants, or distressed denim pants with a chambray top. Try this trend in a shirt, skirt and of course jeans!

6. Gladiator Shoes

The shoe trend craze for this summer season is the Gladiator style shoes. However shoe designers are now modernizing this style with sexy heels and bringing the straps all the way up to the knee. Gladiators were always my least favorite shoe style, but with this new twist I'm all in for the summer trend! Of course you can still wear the flats ones, they're in style too. But the knee high and high heels were sent from the Fashion Gods, so try it!

7. Catch that Clutch!

A lot of celebrities have been photographed lately with small purses or envelop clutches no matter the time of day! And that has set the "bag" trends for the Summer 2013 Fashion Season. The Kardashian style Hermes and Celine totes are out of style for the season! Look out for the handsize clutches that are only big enough to fit your lip gloss and cell phone or the envelope clutches that can also carry your keys and wallet. Try this trend in a clear box clutch, or a hologram envelop clutch!

OOTN: SPRING NIGHTS, in BLENDED LIGHTS!

Hello Beautiful...

My FAVORITE fashion trend of Color Blocking is always in style! So it's my "go to" trend when I'm putting together an outfit for Myself.

This weekend I had a light evening out, attending a small Cultural Expo and taking a stroll through Marina Village on Paradise Island, Bahamas.
I wanted to wear something light and casual, spring colored, but still dressed up enough to make a statement! I knew just the colors I wanted to blend together and just the accessories to make my outfit POP!

Here's what I wore...

Coral Billowy Blouse - Charolette Russe

Purple Straight-Leg Jeans

Nude Ankle Strap Sandals - Urbanog.com

Brown & Mint Green Clutch

Accessories:

3 Chain Gold Link Necklace

Mint Green & Gold Clip On Earrings

Coral & Gold Pendant Ring

Full Outfit:

With this outfit I made Spring a little bolder and louder! Mixing the pastels and neutral with the dark purple gave this look dimensions, but you almost don't even realize that nothing is the same color except my earrings and clutch. This look is a prime example of how colors and accessories could give your outfit so much LIFE! All the pieces in this outfit (shirt, pants, shoes and accessories) are basic and not too over-the-top. Casual chic!

Coloring blocking makes it easy for you to create an outfit. You don't need none of your pieces to match, you just need the colors to compliment each other! Don't throw anything together and call it color blocking. Build a color scheme or consult the color wheel when attempting this trend. For example, I could've worn 3 shades of one color in a color family (color scheme) or mix red, yellow and blue and color block with the primary colors according to the color wheel!

I hope this look inspires your next outfit! Remember, "always dress to express yourself."

SPLURGE? or STEAL!: Queen of the Jungle Necklace

Hello Beautiful…

It’s a New Year again! 2013!!! Whoo Hooo!! And honey, I'm all about saving, saving, saving!
But nothing can stop me from some good fashion pieces and a little shopping! So you guessed it… I'll be stealing more than SPLURGING this year!
And I want you to Steal (not literally) and SAVE too!
So once again I've been following Rihanna's fashion and gushing over this Lion Head charmed necklace she's been wearing.
I did a little research and found out it is the Melody Ehsani Queen of the Jungle Necklace.

So in my little research I found out that Melody Ehsani Queen of the Jungle necklace (small) retails for $69.00 and the Melody Ehsani King of the Jungle necklace (large) retails for $72.00.
Not so bad… but still a pretty penny! But I loved that old school hip hop twist to a statement necklace, and had to have it! Well… one just like it!
So I found a replica to the Queen of the Jungle Necklace at one of My favorite online clothing and accessories stores, JaDazzles Clothing and Accessories retailing for $18.00.

It’s a little bit longer than the original, but the look is basically the same.
So once again I STOLE THE LOOK and SAVED ME SOME MONEY, Honey!! I hope it'll save You some too...

*|FALL/WINTER 2012 FASHION TRENDS|*

After stalking Vogue and Elle's online magazines and keeping a close eye on the season's Fashion Weeks, I chose a few of the Fall and Winter fashion trends that can be easily worn and suits all my beautiful people!!

Check my trend picks for the season...

"And the WINNER is..."

The Metallic choice of the season is Gold!

Whether its a sequined dress, or glitter shoes, the gold color, once worn right, adds a warm sophistication to an outfit and will definitely put your look in First Place!

|GET IN LINE|: Military

Would this Fad ever Fade?! Doubt it!
Designers have revamped this never-dying trend of buttons, strips and collars.

When the months get cooler, hand for a military inspired jacket or boot!

Beat it (((BLACK))) and (((BLUE))

This season's ideal color collab is Black and Blue. And I love it!

This allows for easy color blocking, safe mix and matching and here is two colors that can flatter any skin tone!

I think this was a smart color combo by the designers because black and blue can lend itself to a sexy or sophisticated look!

The New Black... BURGUNDY!

A color that has been overshadowed and possibly described as bland is making a statement this season.

Rich like the taste of some red wines, Burgundy in its multiple shades gives a certain sophistication to any piece of clothing, whether its shorts, a blouse or shoes.

Hence, I'd always wear this color on my "i-mean-business" days or date nights. It's not quite a color for casual.

"The WILD One..."

Out of all the Animal Prints, REPTILE SKIN is the chosen one of the season!

Snake, Aligator, Crocodile skin should be your preference over leopard, cheetah, or zebra print this season. Remember, animal prints can substitute as a neutral, so don't be afraid to rock reptile print with various outfits!!

TOP IT ALL OFF!!

The accessory trend of the season is the Fedora hat! Get into it!

Becoming so popular, you can now find fedoras in basic colors, neons or even animal print!

So find one that fits your head and compliments your Fall outfit to add a classic finishing touch!
